As mentioned, lots of confident West Ham fans on the back of 3 wins. Always a worry to us old gits that expect the worst ( well me anyway ).
It is thin margins in some games and sometimes your luck holds, sometimes not. Main thing is for us to play well, have plenty of possession etc. and continue as we have been for the last 5 - 10 games with a positive approach. Much better than days in the past where you knew it was going to be a backs to wall, hand brake tactics.
Hopefully the ref or a bad decision etc. will not intervene either and players like Arfur do not drop a rickett. Fingers and toes crossed as always :-)

Well, an hour's a bit short. On this occasion - only - you are excused.
Years ago, one bitterly cold midweek night game at Upton Park (against QPR, I think?) I'd just had a haircut which the barber did far too short. An evil wind blew around the forecourt and the prospect of enduring it for another couple of hours was unappealing. Happily, a purveyor of credit cards was offering a free woolly hat with all new applications. I still have that card and the hat.

Been to the away at Fulham several times when the weather's been absolutely shit - rainstorms, freezing cold etc. It's my nearest PL ground though, so fuck it, I'm well up for a sing song in the Putney End. Can't wait. 1-2 West Ham.

Think we’ll win by the odd goal. Important not to concede early. They’ll batter try to batter us and our propensity to concede soft goals has me a bit worried. Hearing also Chicaroto hasn’t trained much this week but presume he’ll be starting.
